A mobile site that allows graduating students to decorate their graduation cap using an LED board, no programming or design skills required.
Project Goal
To create an automated paint program for a mobile website that allows users to decorate their graduation cap easily, with limitless possibilities
Ideation
While brainstorming for our project, I remembered seeing some graduating students on Reddit who decorated their cap with an LED board that displays their designs.
We noticed that most of the people who created their own LED grad cap were students in programming, computer science, or engineering field.
Hence, we decided to create an LED board that can be connected to the user's smartphone.
On the mobile site, the user can create/edit their own design and upload directly to their LED cap.
Paint Program
With the paint program on the mobile site, users can easily design their LED cap.
We took into consideration the varying design skills of the target demographic and made sure that the tools aren't too complicated to use.
